Scholastic

I LOVE the books that I am able to get the boys through Johnny's school. The Scholastic program is truly awesome. They have a great selection of books at great prices!! I try and order just about every month!! This is one of Johnny's newest books. He loves it....I love it!! Now this is only the movie storybook.....I am definitely going to go and buy the original books!! If you have kids in school you really should take advantage of getting them new books through Scholastic. Every item you order helps your child's classroom get free books!! It definitely a win win situation!!

**Some more exciting news**

I think pretty much all of us here in our town have been waiting for the new Sonic to open up on the other side of town....but I recently discovered that we are getting one right here next to our grocery store!!! John and I are SO excited!! Sonic is awesome!!

Now all we need are some nice restaurants here on our side of town. I hate driving to the other side......is that lazy or what. We need Outback over here and Olive Garden. We just plain need another Olive Garden period....the wait is horrendous. Once our new Target opens I will just about have it made in staying over here!! Plus we REALLY need........oh forget it......there are just TOO many to name:)

Easter!

We had a GREAT Easter!!! The boys were so excited they both woke up early on Sunday. They couldn't wait to follow the Easter Bunnies trail of eggs to their Easter baskets!!!

We headed down to my In-Laws later in the day....where the boys had another Easter Egg hunt and HUGE Easter baskets!!! They have enough candy to last a year. Grandma and Granddaddy also gave them a really awesome kite!! This is their first one and they couldn't wait to get it outside!! It just wasn't windy enough though:( We had a very lovely dinner. Jacob was a bit fussy yesterday, but he is still trying to get over his cold and was running on an hour and a half nap. He fell asleep almost as soon as I put him in the car to head home. Poor little baby:(

I hope everyone had a Wonderful Easter weekend!!

Not AGAIN.....

I got a call from Braddock Street Preschool this morning. Johnny was having a hard time breathing and needed to be picked up. I cannot believe this poor child has to deal with this. He was perfectly fine this morning. His class is having their Easter party today too and he had to miss it. I feel so bad for the little guy:( Thank Goodness he got to bring home his little Easter Basket! Honestly though, he didn't even seem to care about missing his party when I picked him up. That right there had me concerned. It's ALL he's talked about for the last week.

Anyways....we are home and he has finished a nebulizor treatment. It seems to have helped some. I will just pray that it doesn't get any worse. I cannot even fathom having to take him to the ER again:(

MUST SHARE!! ***Updated***

Look at these AMAZING flip flops I found yesterday!!! I am SO excited for myself and I just had to share!!! They not only have cherries all over them but they have those cute dangly (I don't think dangly is a word...sorry!) ones too!!! Aren't you excited for me??:) I LOVE cherries by the way...or cherry designs that is! They were super cheap too....makes it even better! Yeah Kelly!!! Now all I need is some warmer weather so I can start wearing them!!

I had to run into Martin's today and I was just kinda moping around in there. Jacob wanted everything and was kinda being a pain and then.....this song came on. It put a huge smile on my face and I started singing along. Don't you just LOVE how one song can change your whole mood and demeanor??!! I LOVE that!! No more moping after that!!

***And yes...I have posted about this song/video before. Can you blame a girl for wanting to share the things she loves!! I love music and I LOVE the movie "A Lot Like Love". With that said if you still haven't seen the movie.....get your little buns out there and rent it. It's a great chick flick...even though John liked it!!

***For anyone who is interested, I got the flip flops at ROSS. They were ONLY $4.99!! Unfortunately they did not have any other designs....only cherries. Sorry:( With stores like that they are constantly getting new stuff though...so who knows, they might have other ones as we speak!!

Let me start off by saying....

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!

I took the kids down to my in-laws on Saturday for a big Easter Egg Hunt. It was pretty cool. A helicopter came and dropped eggs onto the school field. All of the kids and parents FREAKED over this.....it was awesome!! They also had moon bounces and face painting for all of the kids....plus the school's playgrounds. It was complete chaos though....I got a major headache about five minutes in!! It is about the KIDS and NOT me though....so all in all it was a fun time for them!!! I'm sure there wasn't a kid there with a headache!! Plus a couple of our neighbors came too!! It was very nice for the boys to have some of their friends with them!! I will definitely be finding another Eater Egg Hunt next year though......Plus to top it all off I got a ticket on my way down to Haymarket.....that in itself probably had something to do with my splitting headache and grumpy demeanor!! Hee Hee!!! Poor John had to work and missed all of the FUN!!

Yesterday we colored eggs!!! I LOVE coloring the eggs...the only problem is, I want the eggs to be perfect and that is REALLY hard to achieve with two little boys. They were really rough with the eggs and they think it's fun to mix the colors. Ugh....It was like nails on a chalk board to me. Do you think I might have a problem??? I did settle down though and we just let them go to town.....they turned out pretty good too!!

Here is a sample of the boys Easter Pictures!!! It took awhile but I did FINALLY get a perfect one!! My MIL got them the cutest Easter outfits!! I just wish it would be warm enough for them to wear them on Easter. I'm sure I will find lots of other reasons for them to wear them when it does get warmer though!!:)

~I am in LOVE~

With this new Jason Mraz song!!! I just LOVE him.....but them I do have a FINE appreciation for the male species!!! I guess I am just goofy like that! Plus...He is from VA, just like Skeet:)!!

If for some reason you think you don't know who Jason Mraz is then just check out some of his other videos. It might just refresh your memory!!

**My Hubby is VERY sick. I feel so bad for him:( When he came home from work yesterday he was literally green. He should be home and in bed....but NO. He went to work. MEN. Jacob has a really bad cough. He sounds horrible and is wheezing a bit. Our Ped said that there's nothing we can give him except for nebulizer treatments to help open up his airways. It really SUCKS that there isn't more we can do for our sick kids. I have to say....I REALLY DISLIKE WINTER...and am ready for it to just be OVER. I seriously might just FREAK out if one more person in this house gets sick. WTH? At least Johnny hasn't been sick with a stomach virus ALL winter like he was last year. I feel sick just thinking about that!!

Oh so BLAH...

I have SO been wanting to post something great. You know like a post that will truly affect people....one that will make them think and feel! Well poop...I just don't seem to have it in me. I guess I am just feeling a little BLAH. Oh Well. I'm sure when I have a lot going on and NO time to post.....something spectacular will come to me!!
We have had a fun but basically uneventful week. Myself and some of the girls in the hood took the kids to the Wee Gym on Friday. They had a blast...Of Coarse!! I do like it there and it is great for the kids, but I have become a little scared about any germs that might be or rather PROBABLY are floating around in there. I do have a (feeling) that the stuff is NOT cleaned on a regular basis. That could cause some problems...but all in all it is a fun fun place for the kids!!

John and I took the kids down to DVCC on Sunday to attend what is supposed to be a SUPER AWESOME Easter Egg Hunt.....only to find out that it is this Saturday!! I'm sure anyone who happened to be watching thought the family all bundled up in FREEZING cold weather walking around with Easter Baskets were complete IDIOTS!!! Hee Hee!!! Pretty funny when you think about it though!! So...you know where to find me this Saturday!!! I am sure the kids will be in complete awe when the Helicopter starts dropping 20,000 Easter Eggs!! These are exciting times!! Then we had a playdate on Monday!!! You gotta LOVE playdate's!!! Now if only we could start playdate's that were later in the day and add some delicious Mommy juice to the mix!!! Wouldn't that be fun:)
Do any of your children fall asleep in strange positions??? This is SO normal for Johnny. John and I find it strange and Hilarious!!! He is a little character!! We took him up to Redbud Elementary last night for his Kindergarten Registration. He was SO SO excited!!! All of the women working were very friendly, helpful and kind. That in itself will make ALL the difference when he gets on the bus for the first time this Fall. My heart still feels like it is going to explode EVERYTIME I think about that scary bus. I have NO idea how I am supposed to deal with that issue!!

My back has been killing me today. Lets just say a little prayer that I am not getting ANOTHER Kidney Stone. I just really don't think I can deal with that right now!! If not...then lets hope my heating pad has special healing powers!!:) Sometimes that's ALL you need!

Oh and by the way......I just sold my first item on eBay!!!! How F...ing exciting is that?!! I am SO like a PRO now!! LOL:)

Save Journeyman Petition

**Save Journeyman Petition **

John and I LOVE this show!! Please help us save it!

You ARE getting on my NERVES.

Don't you just feel like saying this to people sometimes?? Maybe I am unusual, but I feel like saying this to at least one person EVERY day. Whether it is someone I know or someone I have never seen before. You know like the time you are in a store and a mother keeps repeatedly YELLING at her kid and you just happen to keep ending up on the same isle as her and by the end of your shopping excursion you feel like ripping your hair out and telling that person to get a freaking grip. Hee Hee. I know you all have to have some similar story!! I guess the question is....Is that a "normal" feeling??

Why wouldn't it be though? Why do we as humans keep SO many of our feelings and emotions all bottled up? Why wouldn't we want to express to the people around us....the ones that we know and love anyways, how we are feeling?? It's like showing our feelings is a sigh of weakness. I truly do NOT understand this.

If I know you and we trust and understand each other, then wouldn't it be a "good" thing to tell each other how we feel?? I think so.....and yet here I am talking about how we should "all" do this and I don't do it. I keep it all bottled up and sometimes it just eats at me. That can't be healthy.

I recently read an article in a magazine that said to relieve stress you should write your feelings down on a piece of paper and then throw it away. I have been doing this for the past week or so...and it is truly amazing. MUCH MUCH cheaper than a shrink too!! I tend to just write down any words that are popping into my mind at the time. Some are good and some not so good.....but it works!! You should definitely give it a try.

Really though, the next time you are upset, mad, disappointed or just plain sad at something someone did to you or just in general upset you......try talking to them about it. If we all did this it might just make all the difference and help ease some of the rage our country/world seems to have built up.

We as people are NOT perfect....NONE of us. So lets try and give EVERYONE the benefit of the doubt. Who knows what was going on in someones life the day they made you angry. Maybe something bad happened or they just plain weren't having a good day and they just couldn't express it. We all came from the same place......we should try and remember that a little more often.

So the next time you feel like saying "you are getting on my nerves", try and build up the courage to talk to that person about it. It just might be a better experience than you ever could have imagined!

A Light bulb has gone off!!

This is so ridiculous I shouldn't even admit it, but I only just figured out how other bloggers were able to move their photos around. I just didn't have a stretched template. I feel SO much better now!! It was driving me nuts that I couldn't post pictures side by side:)

Can't a little guy get a break?

Our Johnny hasn't been feeling well AGAIN. He started coughing Friday night and it just kinda got worse throughout Saturday. He has been wheezing and just kind of mopey all weekend. I gave him nebulizer treatments about every four hours yesterday and he seems to be doing much better today. He spent most of the weekend laying asleep on the couch on my heating pad. He seems to love it!! Anything to help him feel better!...especially since he has school pics tomorrow. We definitely don't want him to miss those!
We gave Jacob his first taste of grapefruit yesterday. Can you tell how much he enjoyed it??!! I thought it was delicious!! Love grapefruit!

Since Johnny was feeling better this morning I decided to take them up to Clearbrook park for awhile. It is SO beautiful outside! The boys had a great time and it was just plain nice to get out to the park/playground!!

I went on a job interview last Thursday.....just for a little part time job. Tell me if you have ever heard of such a thing. The Human Resources Manager NEVER shook my hand or even introduced herself, she NEVER looked me in the eye, she ignored me to text message someone (supposedly the store manager) countless times, she took a bathroom break and she took two phone calls....one of whom was to her husband who she proceeded to BS with for about 5 minutes. Now granted this is not some glamorous job.....but come on. I have NEVER seen anyone SO unprofessional on an interview in my life. All I kept thinking was how in the hell did this woman get to be the Human Resources Manager?.....a job that is based around interaction with PEOPLE. HELLO....she seems like a complete idiot and a rude one at that. I can only imagine what the store manager is like. An interview that should have taken thirty minutes at the most took over an hour. Plus, I have a cold and felt like crap the whole time. Needless to say......that "woman" made me feel extremely awkward and I couldn't wait to high tail it outta there. WTH??

**I LOVE the way they ended Lipstick Jungle this week!!! I just don't think it would have been the same without Kirby!!:)

***I am also SO excited that Dirt is back!!! Such a guilty pleasure!!

What a Week

This has felt like the longest week ever. I started feeling a little under the weather on Wednesday and just got steadily worse. I guess it was just my turn!
The boys have been good. Johnny had his physical yesterday and that went really well. He was so brave when they pricked his finger.....my man didn't even finch!! Such a big boy! He has cap and gown pictures at school on Tuesday. How exciting!!!! I really can't believe he is going to start Kindergarten in 6 months. I just hope that he is ready. I spoke with his teacher last night and she said as far as knowing things he is right where he should be and will be fine in that aspect for Kindergarten but that he is still a little immature. Uh Oh:( She did say that unfortunately that is completely normal with boys.....I should have figured that....I'm sure most of us can look at our Husbands and wonder if that ever goes away!!! LOL:) Johnny is so excited to ride the school bus. I am TERRIFIED of buses. I will just have to hope that I can get over it!! I mean really...what else can I do?? Freak out 5 days a week when he gets on the bus??....well, maybe!
Jacob has been doing good. He is constantly into everything. John and I always thought John was busy....Jacob is so much worse. This sounds horrible, but I can't wait for the day that he will actually sit down and watch a cartoon for 20 minutes. Just enough so I can unload the dishwasher without him grabbing stuff and running away and so I can use the restroom. He is so sweet though, you just want to give him whatever he wants!! He's is one of those kids who gets into something and you catch him and he runs over and gives you kisses and hugs...Ugh...He is something else!! I have a feeling I will be losing a lot of sleep over him later in life.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!! Lets ALL pray for SPRING!!! It's time to get these kids OUTSIDE!!
