Busy Bee's!!

Man....we have been SO busy!! Even though I might not always admit it, I LOVE to have a full schedule!! Keeping the kids busy is KEY to my sanity!! Hee Hee
I had a WONDERFUL Birthday!! I was completely spoiled this year! I think everyone was a little concerned about me turning the BIG 30.....It wasn't too bad. I don't feel any different. Imagine that!! My family came out and we went to Los Toltecos. I LOVE it there!! The food is delicious, the service is always good and they have GREAT Margaritas!!!

On Sunday we had a little BBQ with some Family, Friends and Neighbors. The weather was Fabulous and the kids were all very good!! I pulled the moon bounce outside along with the sand and water table and all of our bikes. The kids had an endless supply of fun!! It was nice to have some enjoyable adult talk while the kids all played and kept each other company!!
We headed to Elizabeth Furnace for a picnic on Monday. The weather was Beautiful!!....it was Beautiful ALL weekend, but Monday was by far the warmest day!! We cooked out, cleaned up and then headed off on an adventure!! We started out walking across one of the Big bridges there and then headed over to check out one of the campsites. John REALLY wants to go on a family camping trip.....I am NOT so sure. I think that might be a better trip for a Dad to take his boys on!! Anyways, we started out on one of the trails and ended up down by the creek. The current was pretty strong. John decided it would be FUN to cross the creek with the kids. HA....I wasn't so sure.....and sure enough once we started out we realized how strong the current really was. Halfway across I decided it was quit hilarious. I literally couldn't stop laughing!! Fun Times!!...and YES, we did make it across!!
Then yesterday Johnny had a dentist appointment and afterward my Mom and I took the kids to Chuck E Cheese!! They had a blast. I usually do too, but it was REALLY crowded, so it made it a little rough. Still worth it though!!
I can't wait for this weekend.....It's Johnny's Birthday!! Our big boy is going to be 5!!! WOW!!

Our Little Graduate!!

Johnny has Officially Graduated Preschool!! Yesterday was his last day of school and they had a Big Spring Program in a Wild Wild West theme!! All of the kids looked so cute in matching t-shirts and bandanna's!! They sang a lot of songs....I was pretty amazed at how many actually. It's just plain amazing how much information they are able to absorb period!!
Both mine and John's parents came out for the "Big"event!! I know it made Johnny's day that much more special having them there. After the program we all headed to Cracker Barrel for a DELICIOUS breakfast!! YUM....we really do love it there!
Johnny's Cap and Gown pic!
Johnny entering the Chapel with his class.

Our little man getting his Diploma from his Teacher Mrs. Ogilvie!!
I still can't believe that in a few short months he is going to be in grade school. CRAZY. John and I really can't wait to guide and watch him through his next journey though!! I'm sure it is going to be a learning experience for all of us! :)

This rain REALLY is getting OLD.

Don't you think ALL of the rain we've gotten over the lat month is a little ridiculous???.....because you know what, I sure as heck do!! I would be perfectly happy if we went the entire month of June without seeing one drop!! This is becoming truly depressing.
Anyways.....we had a really nice weekend! It will be the last relaxing one we have for about a month. We headed over to a friend's house for dinner on Friday night. We haven't seen them for months, which is WAY too long:( They had a new baby (Kayden) in January. He is SO sweet! We haven't seen him since he was a week old, so it was so great to get our baby fix!! He has the best disposition and a light up his whole face kinda smile......which I couldn't seem to capture on camera:( It's so relaxing to hold and play with someone else's baby. As soon as he got hungry I was able to just hand him back!!! Seeing them at that age totally makes me want to have another one though!! They are just so sweet!! :) The boys were so good that it was hard to leave. I was very proud of both of them...especially Jacob!!

John and I watched Stephen King's The Mist on Saturday night. I am a HUGE Stephen King fan!!! I LOVE the scary stuff...most of the time anyways!! Unfortunately I DID NOT like this one. I never got a chance to read this one, so I was intent on watching the movie. It was OK for most of the movie but the ending KILLED it for me. The ending SUCKED. If you haven't seen it.....Don't waste your money.

Johnny's last day of school is on Thursday. They have their big Spring Program. We are really excited and sad all at the same time. One chapter is ending and another is about to begin!! I'm sure Kindergarten is going to be LOTS of fun!! :) He brought home the best thing ever today.....a memory book with pictures all done with his hand prints!! I LOVE it......it totally made me cry. Man an I a sap or what??! It's just so hard to believe that Johnny is about to be 5 and start Grade School. It's hard for me to not get emotional! :(
**I have been meaning to mention this for awhile, Hasn't LOST been AWESOME this season??!! I have barely been able to contain myself waiting for each new episode. I think this has been by FAR the BEST season!!! I can't wait to the season finale!!

Some Cute Pics!!

Here are some really cute pics of the boys from the last week or so. I take SO many pics it is a struggle to decide which ones to share. Oh, the hardships of life!!!
Johnny and Jacob playing on/in their moon bounce. They LOVE this thing!! The moon bounce and I have a love/hate relationship though. At times I SO love having it and love seeing the pleasure it brings the boys, but then at other times I wish it wasn't so loud. Maybe that has been the cause of my headaches!!! I hadn't even thought about that possibility until now. Huh?!!
It really is great though!! I would HIGHLY recommend it to anyone with small children!! Fun entertainment for HOURS!!! I lay in it and let the kids bounce around me. It's so fun!! :)

Look at my little Ninja!! I took Jacob to Clear Brook park yesterday after we dropped Johnny off at School. I thought it would be nice to have some alone time! As soon as we got there Jacob took off running after an older couple and there dog.....and wiped out. He scraped both of his knees up pretty bad. This is a daily occurrence though. We have a faller!! So I took him into the restroom and got him cleaned up. No sooner than we left the restroom he made a bee line for the Big playground and stepped in a BIG pile of dog poop. Ugh.....GROSS. Who lets their dog poop next to a playground and then doesn't pick it up?? Poor little guy. He just couldn't seem to catch a break. So we headed back into the restroom and I took off his shoes, cleaned them off as well as possible, wrapped them in a mound of toilet paper, stuck them in the stroller, cleaned off Jacob's feet and legs...yes it was all over his legs too and then strapped him into the stroller. Thank goodness I brought the stroller!! I also brought bread, teddy grahams and some juice. So I decided we would walk along the path as many times as Jacob would allow and try and find some ducks, squirrels and birds to feed. Jacob had a blast!! Every time we would see a squirrel he would scream "WHOORL" and throw entire slices of bread at them. It was SO funny!! The squirrels preferred the Teddy Grahams though!! :) Plus, Jacob was so good we were able to walk the path 6 times...so I was able to get some MUCH needed exercise!!
I have started making Johnny take naps on his school days. It has made a HUGE difference in his attitude!! I guess all he needed was more sleep!! Anyway....this was how I found him yesterday when I went to check on him. My little man took all of his pillows and blankets and got in the cubby under his bunk beds! Doesn't he look so cute and snugly under there??!!

Look at how much "Stuff" Jacob sleeps with. I cannot imagine being able to fall asleep with that much stuff around me. Can we say claustrophobic!!
Jacob just giggling away while his Grandma tickles him!! He has the best smile and giggle!! It's infectious!!
Johnny dancing around while eating a slice of pizza!!
The boys in their new Adorable matching shirts my Grandmother gave them!! I love matching them!! I wonder how long they will be OK with that?? :)

Look at this awesome dessert John and I made the boys last night. We had a bunch of berries left from Mother's Day. You can't beat a pile of Whipped Cream with Fresh Berries on top!!! Yum!!! I sure did enjoy mine on Sunday Morning!!!

I'm finding it hard....

So...I have been feeling a little (or maybe a lot) Blah lately. I just can't seem to get it together. I have had a headache EVERY day for over a week now. It's totally bringing me down. I don't feel like doing anything. The rain finally went away....and now it is supposed to come back. Which I'm sure means that there is no end in sight to my headaches. Fabulous. I have a feeling that it all has something to do with the Birthday that is looming closer and closer. I know I just sound silly, but I REALLY don't want to turn thirty. You would think it would be easy. Who cares right? It's just a number. I feel sick about it though. My twenties have been the best time of my life....and I'm just not ready to move on. Honestly, I could cry right now. How freaking sad is that. I am almost thirty and I'm acting like a baby. I have a feeling that you will find me getting good and DRUNK when the big day comes. I can glance at it through my haze!
I have been very short tempered with the kids too, which I feel completely horrible about. I am fine in the morning, but by about 5pm I have had it. After watching, chasing, playing with, cooking for, cleaning up after, calming down, soothing, kissing boo boo's, breaking up potential and actual fights and saying no about 100 times I am at the end of my rope. It always helps to take the kids out side, but Jacob REALLY likes to run in the road or just plain run away. Does anyone have a straitjacket I could borrow??!! Hee Hee!!! That kid is running me ragged. He has more energy than the energizer bunny. I wish there was a way to filter some of it into me. It's sad to say, but I was feeling great when I was exercising, but after 2 months and NO results I QUIT. Maybe my mood is a sign that I really shouldn't have QUIT. I just need to do it. Get back on that treadmill. Pick up those weights. Sounds so easy.....why does it have to be so hard?
On a better note, I got my Lucky Breaks Prize this week!!

I just used it for the first time yesterday. The scent it great!! Chamomile and Lemon Verbena. After shampooing and conditioning my hair I wasn't sure if I was really going to like it though. I felt like my hair was completely dried out, but as the day went on it just got softer and softer. I have never had that happen before. Usually it's the other way around. Pretty nice huh?! The body lotion is great too! It's smells SO good and really moisturizes...too bad they didn't give a body wash!!! All in all...it's a great prize!!!
I didn't give up on Grey's Anatomy. It really is a great show. I can totally see what all the fuss has been about! I am now on disk two of season three. I still miss Denny though :( So sad.

Seriously, WHY???

I had decided a couple of weeks ago that I REALLY needed to watch Grey's Anatomy. I have never seen it, so my neighbor has season one and two and let me borrow it. I was hooked from the beginning. Now I get the whole "Grey's" thing. However, I just finished watching season 2's season finale morning and I am starting to question WHY I felt the need to watch this STUPID show. Throughout some of the episodes of this season I have fallen in love with the character Denny(as I'm sure a lot of people did). Now why in the world did they have to go and kill that man?? Please...does anyone have a good answer? Cause I gotta tell you.....It's just plain F*#ED UP. No Kidding, I balled my eyes out this morning. I REALLY DO NOT like to start my days out like this. How do you go and kill a man with those dimples and that smile?? It's just WRONG. I'm not even sure if I can bring myself to watch the other seasons.

So...Thank You Grey's Anatomy for RUINING MY DAY.

When did this happen??

Yeah Yeah. I like the Redskins. If anyone asked at any point throughout my life if I watched or liked any sports I would have replied with, Yes...I like the Redskins. I mean come on. I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. I SHOULD like and route for the Redskins.....but I really never watched any of the games until we moved into this house. I was always like, YAY...go Redskins.......eh, whatever!
Anyways, Jacob had his two year well baby check up yesterday (which went well!!) and afterward we headed to the Leesburg Corner Premium Outlets. I am very sad to say that I haven't been there in almost three years:( Way TOO long...shame on me huh?!
There are a TON of new stores!! My favorite by FAR though was the Redskins Outlet. It was amazing!! I was in there for nearly an hour. They have SO much more than I ever would have thought. Man, would I have loved to have had a couple hundred bucks flouting around in my purse!! I SERIOUSLY wanted to buy one of everything!! Wouldn't that have been awesome!! John would have been kissing the ground I walk on if that ever happened!! I will definitely be heading there for Christmas gifts this year. They have/had a TON of t-shirts for $5. That is my kind of deal!! We only got John one though. I was SO going to get myself a new one, but I just couldn't make up my mind. Such a woman thing to do too!! Hee Hee!! I think I was driving the sales guy nuts!! So if you like the Redskins and are in need of some new gear I would definitely check out the outlet. They don't have as much as the full price store, but they had a great selection!!
Some of you might cringe at this, but, I went into the Coach outlet for the first time and was NOT impressed. The prices were a lot higher than I would have thought. Weird huh? Maybe my my mind and wallet just weren't in it:)

**Cute Story**

When I picked Johnny up from school today he was very excited and said he had something special for me. His teacher was like "remember, it's a secret. OK Johnny". As soon as we drove away, he said it's OK Mommy. I want to give you your present now! So he handed me a bag and inside were two Mother's day cards. They are SO SWEET. I got all choked up and started to cry. The first card goes like this:

For Mother
Here's a gift for Mother's Day.
I'll try my best in every way.
But when you get upset with me,
Relax and have a cup of tea.
I love you!!

Awww!!! The inside has a little teacup with a bag of Raspberry tea inside!!
The second card says, Happy Mother's Day on the front and the inside says,
Thank you,
For helping me bloom!

I know Johnny didn't come up with the card phrasing, but it's very sweet just the same!! I couldn't have asked for better Mother's Day cards!!

Oh...What a weekend!!!

We have had such a great weekend! John and his Dad left for their annual golf tournament on Thursday morning...which makes me feel Happy and Sad all at the same time!! They just got home last night and had a great "men's weekend. Plus they both came home with money in their pockets!!!
My MIL came out on Friday and has spent the weekend with me and the boys. We have had a blast!! We went to Burger King for dinner on Friday and let the kids wear themselves out on the outdoor playground there. We really love that place...plus the weather was beautiful!! Yesterday we headed to the Apple Blossom Carnival. This was our first time doing any of the Apple Blossom stuff. The carnival was great!! Both of the boys had a blast!!! There were more rides Jacob could go on than I would have thought....which is SO great:) Johnny was a really good big brother too. He totally took care of Jacob and made sure he was OK on all of the rides they went on together!! We will definitely have to check out some more of the AB festivities next year!

They are boys SO happy that their Daddy is home!! They were already asleep when he got home last night, so they freaked this morning when they saw him!! John and I got up a little early so we could hook up their new joint Birthday present.....a MOONBOUBCE!!! They were extremely excited when they got to come out and see it!! It has since been moved into the house though.....I'm not sure how long I will be cool with that, but it is fun!!
My parents and Grandmother are heading out later today for a little family Birthday Party for Jacob!! We can't wait for CAKE!!! YUMMY!! :) I have a cute little slide show of Jacob's life journey so far that I will post tomorrow...since that's is his actual Birthday. It's really cute!! I still can't believe that he's Two!!
