UGH......Blogger is driving me NUTS. For some reason EVERY TIME I try and post pictures on here I get kicked off the internet. It is SO irritating. So I AM MAD!! LOL!
Anyways, everyone is doing well over here! The boys have been good. Johnny is doing very well in school. I cannot begin to tell you how much I LOVE how well he is doing in school. I never really liked the work/learning part of school and I have been TERRIFIED that my boys would be the same way. Johnny just absorbs everything he can! It is AWESOME!! I will SO be one of those Moms with the honor roll bumper sticker. I might even point it out to people!! :) He is ready for school to be over though. We are ALL ready for the pool to be open!!
Jacob is doing good too! He loves school just as much as Johnny does....except as a three year old I think he is much more interested in playing and socializing. Especially with one little girl who seems to have him mesmerized! He just LOVES this one girl and talks about her NON STOP! Jacob has been having bouts of night terrors over the last couple of months. He walks/talks/cries/screams all while asleep. It has actually scared the crap out of me a couple of times. One night he left him room and opened the laundry room doors and walked right into the washer.....which woke him up and scared the crap out of him. It was so sad. It really scares me that there will be a night that he leaves him room and opens the gate and falls down the stairs. My heart is in my stomach just thinking about it. I am praying that this phase has passed.
My baby Jacob's Birthday is coming up. I just cannot believe that little man is going to be four. Man, time is getting away from me. I think it's definitely time to look through all of the photo albums!!

Weekend News
John and I did a TON of yard work this weekend. I started on Friday and we didn't finish until last night. It was a MAJOR pain, but I am SO glad we did it and that it's done!! The yard always looks better with new black mulch!! Even though I think half of it washed away during last nights storm :( The boys got to play outside most of the weekend. Thank goodness we have some of the BEST neighbors EVER who totally helped John and I out by watching the boys!!
Johnny had a baseball game Saturday morning. They got through half of it before it started raining. I think those boys could care less about getting wet though. They probably would have kept on playing if they were allowed! Johnny had a game on Wednesday night too. The weather was much better. He was SO excited since that was his official first game! I got some really cute pictures that I will post as soon as blogger cooperates!!
John and I watched The Blind Side on Saturday night and it was SO good!! If you haven't seen it I would definitely check it out!!
I hope everyone has a great Apple Blossom weekend and that the weather cooperates!!!

Johnny Johnny
Oh my Johnny. I love him so dearly, but at times wonder why he can stir up such negative feelings in me. He is most definitely NOT a morning person. Guess what...I am! I usually wake quit chipper. I am not one to hit snooze and more often than not wake before my alarm. Johnny on the other hand tends to be more like his father in the morning. He hits snooze on his alarm and then claims he doesn't know what happened when I come to get him myself. This happens almost every morning. OK fine, I don't understand it, but I'm not him. Once I do get him up he usually greets my with something along the lines of "but I barely got any sleep last night" or "can't you just give me a little longer" or "the light doesn't look right outside, so it's not time to get up". He has even shot at me that I set his alarm for the wrong time. Humm.....That is not even a possibility.

(Johnny in the outfield)
Now some of you might think that I wake Johnny too early, 7am to be exact. Let me explain though. We head to the bus stop at 8:30am. An hour and a half seems like plenty of time right? Well maybe for most children it is, but Johnny is not most children. I hate that I have to do some things different with him, but there just isn't much of a choice. With a 7am wake up time, John need to brush his teeth, take a shower, get dressed........I'm won't even start with him getting dressed....that alone can take him thirty minutes. (so VERY frustrating), have his blood sugar checked, decide what he wants for breakfast, figure out the carbs and how much insulin he needs, eat and pack his back pack. EVERYDAY most of these things are a struggle with John. I think he just doesn't want to be told what to do. Which was the main reason he got an alarm clock for Christmas. I was sure it would make him feel older and more responsible. I think it irritates him just as much as me waking him does.

(Up to bat)
Then there's the fact that he needs to keep his room straight. He SWEARS that he is the only kid he knows that has to clean his room. I highly doubt that, but who am I to argue with a six year old?!?! Anyways, he has started shoving everything into his closet. So yesterday I went to wake him for school.......when in fact he didn't go......and after politely telling him it was time to get up I opened the closet door to get his clothes when to my surprise a ton of shit (excuse my language) spilled out at me. So not only am I instantly irritated but when I try to move some stuff out of the way to open his sock drawer a bunch of stuff fell on me and I completely broke three of my finger nails. UGH. I really liked those nails too. Well lets just say that I basically lost it. Johnny has a monitor in his room too, so if you live near by and heard a crazy lady screaming yesterday, that was me. I feel like throwing everything in his room away. Don't mess with an upset mommy and her finger nails!!

(Safe!)
Let's just say that this morning Johnny was like a different kid when his alarm went off. I'll have to see how long this lasts! It did take him twenty minutes to put his clothes on though. How is that even possible?
Now even though Johnny is a bit of a morning monster he is a very sweet little guy. He is very quick to say I love you and give hugs and kisses, and he is wonderful if you aren't feeling good. He will check on you and bring you things. It's awesome!
Here are some quick tidbits about Jacob. His newest thing is "Duh". I might just hear that word more than any other from him throughout any given day. When I have to get stern with him he ALWAYS responds with "Yes, Mother". I don't know whether to laugh or cry. His facial expression while saying "Yes, Mother" is hysterical, but I certainly DO NOT want to be called Mother. In fact I am perfectly content with being called Mommy forever!!

Is it just mine??
Whelp....Johnny came down with a stomach virus in the middle of the night on Friday. His stomach hurt so bad he was hunched over just whimpering. His first t-ball game of the season was on Saturday morning. He laid on the family room floor in his uniform and cried and cried because he couldn't go :( I have to say though, from what I've heard it was VERY cold and windy so maybe it worked out for the better! (that is a joke.....I would much rather brace the cold and wind than have a sick child...especially the one who should be exempt from getting sick!) He was sick all day on Saturday, but seemed to be getting better on Sunday. He started to relapse last night though. Just not to the extreme that he had been. Thank goodness! I have kept him home today to make sure he is a OK before he heads back. Not really the kind of sickness you want to take to school. Ya know?!?!
Anyways....since having both children cooped up inside seems to have brought out their bad sides. Now Johnny does have an excuse. Jacob however does not. That little stinker. He just LOVES to pester his brother. I must let you know though that Johnny is a silent instigator. He does little things repeatedly to Jacob that he knows bother him and will eventually have him blowing up. I cannot even begin to tell you just how many parents talk about how well their children get along with one another. No fighting, wrestling, yelling, jealousy.....you get it right? So I guess my ultimate question is.....Is it just mine?? Now don't get me wrong. John and Jacob can be very sweet to one another and take care of each other, but more often than not they are wrestling one another, fighting over the same toy/book/bike and so on. If we ask what they want for dinner it is ALWAYS something different. They fight over who goes to the bathroom before bed first, who gets to be dropped off by which parent to their Sunday School class. Would you like me to name more? No. OK Good. That list was growing tiresome. John and I have been trying to make special things for each of them. Like them picking a dinner once a week, rotating which of us drops them at their ssc, letting them pick a movie for family movie night every other week. I am hoping that with some little changes they can ease up on wrestling each other so often.....but then I also wonder if that's just boys. I mean, how would I know? I am a girl and a fairly girly girl too. I certainly don't want to take away any unwritten ritual that boys go through to become men. It just doesn't seem like wrestling is going to come in handy when they are grown men.
So I guess my hope is that all of the parents that swear their kids don't fight are full of crap. HEE HEE....just kidding! I thought maybe a little humor would lighten the mood. Unless you are FOC and in that case you should just come clean. If you do happen to have kids who don't happen to fight, can you please give me some tips!!
To any/all of you new or soon to be parents out there, just know that even though my children fight and wrestle a LOT, I LOVE them dearly and would certainly take a day of wrestling over no day at all! There are many challenges that come with parenting and I can for sure say that John and I are just scratching the surface. Lord help me when they become teenagers!

Past News....
Here are some cute pics from Jacob's Easter party at school. I have been having LOTS of problems with blogger lately. Which is why this post is so late.

Making a bunny.

Me and Jacob pictures courtesy of his teacher. I was SO happy when she sent these to me! I rarely get my picture taken with either of the boys. I think it's even better that I had no idea they were being taken!!

I am really starting to miss Jacob's hair :( I was totally fine with it at first, but now it seems to have hit me that it really is gone. He just doesn't look like him without it. I know that it is him, but I miss the curls and want them back. Oh how I pray that they come back!

A "Cool" Weekend!
We LOVED the "cooler" weather we had this weekend!! Don't get me wrong....I SO prefer Hot to Cold, but ninety degrees in April is a little too hot. I headed to the Dentist on Saturday morning. While I was getting my teeth cleaned the boys got to spend time with my parents. The went to the playground and had lunch at McDonald's! That is like a perfect day for them! While they were together I got to do a little ALONE shopping! WOO HOO!! I was in heaven :) I went to the party store (since we don't have one here in Winchester) to pick up some stuff for Jacob's Birthday and then headed to Ross. I hit the jackpot! I got a Moving Comfort spots bra IN MY SIZE for $9.99.....that is AMAZING!! I just wish they had had more than one. I have to say...this is ABSOLUTELY the BEST sports bra I have EVER had. I cannot even begin to tell you how hard it is to find a good, supportive and comfortable sports bra when you have boobs as big as mine. I was beginning to think there just wasn't such a thing. I also found Everlast pants! Everlast is my very favorite exercise brand. Their clothes fit my body perfectly and they are so comfortable you almost forget you have anything on! Which is SO great for me since my clothing of choice is John's t-shirts :)
After I picked the boys up we headed to the new Wegman's in Leesburg. I really could spend all day in there. Even the boys were amazed! I grabbed a couple of fresh Artichokes for dinner and MAN OH MAN were they good! Both of the boys seem to LOVE them just as much as I do! I am thinking John will be getting random calls during the week to run into Wegman's. They have the most amazing Asian and Mexican food isles! TONS of things our stores will probably never carry. Things that I need. Hee Hee!!
Yesterday was mostly spent outside, which we ended with freshly made burgers on the grill! I even treated the boys to popsicles from the ice cream truck! *never again on that one though. Two popsicles cost me $5. What a rip off.* I have to say I REALLY REALLY ♥ 70 degree weather! It's just perfect!
