I watched two movies recently that I just LOVED! The first was Avatar. I wasn't really sure what to expect. I was pretty sure that I would like it though. It was a Beautiful movie. If you are into science fiction movies I would definitely watch this. I was quite taken with Sam Worthington!
The second movie I watched was The Time Traveler's Wife. LOVED this movie. It got bad reviews too.....but I am a complete sucker for romance!! If you don't mind a good cry then I would check this one out too!
I found this really cool jewelry website called http://www.thevintagepearl.com/. It started with a stay at home mom. everything is handcrafted with Sterling Silver and the pieces are amazing!! They have beautiful name chains. I really want one with the boys names and little teardrop birthstones. Plus the prices are EXTREMELY reasonable!
I am SO ready for school to be out. I am TIRED of doing homework! I think Johnny is too ;) I can't wait for the pool to open and to go to the drive-in!! I am totally a twihard Mom and I can't wait for Eclipse to come out next month!! Summer BBQ's and going on picnic's! The BEACH!! How can you not like summer!!
I am going to start my garden next weekend. I can't wait to have fresh tomatoes and cucumbers!! I can pictures us chomping on LOTS of BLT's. YUM!!!

An Update
I will keep this short and sweet as I am rather cranky. John got the stomach virus this weekend too. SHIT SHIT SHIT. LITERALLY. Man....however bad I think it is when the kids are sick it is ALWAYS ten times worse with the husband. Plus John and Johnny have had it twice as bad as Jacob did. I am tired, cranky, pms"ing" and all I feel like eating is fluffy stuff cotton candy. I kinda think I deserve it too.
So if you happen to see me around and I have a scowl on my face.....don't take it personally. That's all for now folks.

Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.....
It's a Beautiful Day. Perfect temperature. Perfect breeze. Perfectly blue sky.
Johnny caught the stomach virus. Worse than Jacob too :( It started around midnight. It REALLY sucks when your kids get sick in the middle of the night. He has had really bad stomach craps, which Jacob never had. Plus....since Johnny has diabetes he HAS to have carbs and insulin. Let me just say that trying to maintain good blood sugar levels when you can't keep anything down is pretty hard. He seemed a little better around noon today, but is fastly (I see that fastly isn't really a word, but I like it) fading. He is just pitiful. I would share a picture, but BLOGGER won't let me. Just like it wouldn't let me with Jacob. I think it has it's own ideas about what pictures I should be sharing and obviously sick kids are not among them.
We had great plans for this weekend. Johnny was to have t-ball pics this am followed by a game. *We actually contemplated going to the pictures and them coming right home. I'm sure glad we didn't. We all would have been really embarrassed.* We were going to go on a picnic and hiking in Front Royal. We were even tossing around the idea of the drive-in. Oh well. It's still BEAUTIFUL out. John is AMAZINGLY off. Our yard looks GREAT. ALL of the windows are open. There is a TON of chicken breasts getting SO SO happy in a Citrus Lime Marinade in the frig. Which will be SO SO yummy cooked to perfection on the grill, by my AMAZING grill meister hubby! I got to sneak away for girls night last night too!! All in All the weekend could have been a lot worse.
I sure hope you all are having the most wonderful Saturday!!......and I hope if we have seen you recently that you don't get sick. Please accept my sincerest apologies in advance.

Oh What a Day
My poor little Jacob got hit in the face with a bike helmet yesterday and was soon after hit with the stomach virus. The poor thing was just miserable. He seems much better today. I sure hope it stays that way. You just never know what to expect with a SV. He was supposed to bring in his Birthday cupcakes to school today too. He is totally crushed. Man it's hard when your kids get sick. I think I spent most of the night just staring at him. We are going to cuddle and watch movies today and HOPEFULLY get a nice LONG nap!! Plus I have a nice big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup on the stove!

Strawberry Picking!
Yesterday Jacob and I went Strawberry picking with some friends. It was SO fun! The strawberries are the most beautiful red color. They are light and soft and fluffy. There is a HUGE difference in these freshly picked berries than any you could ever buy in the store. I am SO SO glad we went! Plus the farm we went to has PYO on tons of fruits and veggies. I can't wait to go back! I bet my Dad would LOVE to go Blackberry and Raspberry picking!! Right Dad?!?!

The Training Wheels are Off!!!
Jacob had a GREAT Birthday! I think he told just about everyone he saw that it was his Birthday! He asked me earlier in the day when Santa Claus would be delivering his presents. It was SO funny!
My Mom came out and took us to lunch and out shopping. It worked out perfectly too because John was home early and took the training wheels off of Jacob's bike. So my Mom got to see him in action! It took all of about five minutes for him to get the hang of it and then he just wanted to ride his bike the rest of the day! He's growing up WAY too fast. Everything seems to be going much faster with him than it did with Johnny :(

Here he is with Daddy going for a ride!

Happy 4th Birthday Jacob!

Our baby is 4 today, @ 11:59am to be exact! I still picture him this way. He was the sweetest little baby ever! He is SO excited that it's his Birthday! He woke up at 6:20am just to tell us how excited he is! He is ready for Daddy to come home so he can open his presents!
I no longer have a baby :( There is a big difference between three and four....at least there was with John. I guess I now officially have a big boy!

BEST rice EVER!
I made Giada De Laurentiis Citrus Rice Salad last week and it is AMAZING!! Both of the boys just gobbled it up! We eat a LOT of brown rice, so I am always looking for new ways to spruce it up. I just happened to be watching her show one day and my mouth started watering looking at this rice. I did leave out the almonds, parsley and green onions. I didn't happen to have any of those things on hand, and I really don't think it mattered. It really is THAT GOOD! I must add too that I personally think it's better cold!
If you decide to make this.....which I really think you should, please don't be alarmed when you make the vinaigrette. When I made it I was a little worried. I tasted it and just wasn't sure it was going to be what I had thought. So I took a spoonful of the cooked rice and a drizzle of the vinaigrette and mixed them up to taste before mixing all of it together. Oh man....I thought I had died and gone to heaven! I even had John try it and I could immediately tell he was hooked as well!
So, if you like rice then I think you will LOVE this!!
