For the life of me I haven't been able to come up with something to blog about. I guess my life at the moment has nothing super cool or interesting to talk about!! I feel dried up :( Poor me huh...HA HA!!
Jacob came down with a cold first. Then he was better. Then Johnny got a rash called Fifth Disease. Now the rash is gone and he has a cold....which always brings on coughing and wheezing, so we have been giving him nebulizer treatments. Now Jacob seems as if he is getting another cold. Have I mentioned before that I HATE cold weather. This is one of the biggest reasons why. I'm sure this is just the beginning of a LONG and Dreary winter :(
Today is Jacob's picture day at school. He looked SO handsome! I just hope that it stays that way until the moment the photographer gets that perfect picture! I wonder what the odds of that happening are?? Slim to none I'm sure.
We had our first parent teacher conference with Johnny's teacher last night. I swear.....I was TOTALLY nervous. For what reason....I haven't the slightest. You would have thought I was stuck in an auditorium with a thousand people looking at me through a microscope. Am I a dope or what?!! Johnny is doing great academically, but he is having some social problems. He has a hard time listening and he talks WAY too much. Sounds just like his Dad and Grandfather!! Hee Hee!! I guess my mans got stuff to say! The teacher suggested that we try and give him more independence at home. Like letting him pick out his own clothes (yeah...I haven't let him do that yet), having him collect all of the items he will need to complete homework etc. I think these are all doable!
I'm not sure if I have mentioned this in a blog or not...and I am WAY too lazy to go back and search though old posts, but John and I are still lifting weights. We are now in our 14Th week. John has lost 20 pounds and I have lost 10! It does seem like it's taking forever to see changes, but I guess I'd rather take it slow and make it a part of my lifestyle than to work SO hard that we just give up. I am proud of myself though. I have never done weight lifting before. I'm really starting to see the muscle in my arms. John had muscle to begin with so his body has REALLY changed!! It's HOT!! ;) We lift weights Mon-Thurs and try and do cardio twice a week. We do four weeks of building muscle and then four weeks of strengthening and then repeat. The cardio hasn't been happening as much since Johnny was diagnosed last month. We start cardio seven days a week March first. Ugh.....I am NOT looking forward to that. I'm sure that's when our bodies will really start to change though!! That in itself should keep me excited. I have already gone down a full (bra) cup size!!! Do you realize how awesome that is people!!! A much needed break for my poor poor back!!
If anyone knows where I can purchase medical supplies in bulk....PLEASE let me know. I have been getting alcohol wipes at Costco, but we need a LOT of gauze as well. It would be SO convenient to get them together.

That's awesome on the weight loss. I am so not motivated to stick to any type of routine. I started letting Kavon pick out his clothes recently, but I only let him pick his shirt and then I pick out the pants so that way he doesn't go to school totally mismatched. :)
Keep up the good work lifting those weights! 10 lbs is GREAT.
Keep us posted!!
Maybe it is this time of year and blogging...I have the same block! Kepp up the great work with lifting...just remember muscle weighs MORE than fat...so the actual loss of pounds is probably going to be less than what you wanted, BUT I'm sure the inches lost are MORE! Way to go! Love amy
