Family Picnic!

What a Beautiful weekend huh?! We had a big picnic at Clearbrook Park with John's Dad's side of the family. I don't think we could have asked for more perfect picnic weather!! We all had a wonderful time. Enjoying each other's company and eating lots of delicious food!! There was lots of running around and football playing. It's a real time for the men to get back to their childhood :) Plus the boys LOVE to play football with their daddy, granddaddy and uncle's!

Jacob is infatuated with his little cousin Jadon. He just loves him. It is so very sweet! He wanted to hold him, and rub him and help with him. Very endearing! If I didn't have enough on my plate (and more money) I might think about having another one!
Tomorrow it's back to the real world. With two kids in school I feel like I am constantly on the move. In a good way though. It's nice to have my days full and fall into bed at night!
Johnny is still doing wonderfully. He got his first progress report on Friday. He seems to be quite the little social butterfly. Which means he's come a LONG way from the beginning of last year. Apparently he just LOVES his friends and is a little talker.....which is causing some problems. With things such as finishing his lunch (VERY important for his Diabetes), paying full attention to his teacher, listening and working on things alone. He did get good remarks too though. His teacher stated that he has a great attitude towards school, getting his blood sugar checked, completing assigned tasks, participating in a variety of tasks, cooperation, respect and self-discipline. I was actually very surprised at the number of things they evaluate. It's is SO nice to know how he is doing and have an actual piece of evidence signed by the teacher!! I like elementary school SO much better than preschool!!! I like to be in the know :) I can't wait to get his first report card!!! Oh the things that get me excited nowadays!!
Jacob is still LOVING school!! However, he did get his first time out on Thursday and was not too happy when I picked him up. Just the mention of his teacher now puts him in tears. Sounds like the little man was really embarrassed. I guess the next time she asks the kids to start cleaning up he will listen!!

John and I are doing good as well! We are counting down the days till our weekend away!! To be honest, I have had to stop myself from packing! (we don't leave until Nov. 8th) I think this is exactly what we need to unwind ourselves a little:)
I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and has been enjoying this Beautiful weather!!
