Our poor Johnny:( ***Updated

Johnny is in the ER. He has just gone down hill and hasn't been able to breath, so I called my parents this morning and they came out to watch Jacob while I took Johnny. They took us back immediately...which was awesome!!! He got a breathing treatment right away and was semi-better, but they decided that he would still need another one. During the second one he suddenly spiked a fever. They tested for RSV, but that came back negative. I had to leave to get back to Jacob. John just called and said they were getting ready to take him for x-rays to see if he has pneumonia. He looked so pitiful when I left him. I feel so bad for the little guy:( I will update as soon as I hear anything new.

I put Jacob to bed and I think I am going to lay down. I have been up with Johnny since 5am. Plus I decided to work out this morning....what a day to start that huh!!!

***Johnny's x-ray showed that he is in the beginning stages of pneumonia and because his lungs are not responding to the steroid treatments to the extent that they should they are keeping him overnight. I am officially freaking out. It's so weird too.....I have had asthma since I was one years old and have never had to stay overnight for anything..and now my poor baby has to stay in the scary Hospital overnight. Ugh...I never in my wildest dreams imagined this happening when Johnny woke up with a cold yesterday:(

I am DRAINED. Johnny is breathing better, but you can still see him struggling. They have him doing nebulisor treatments every two hour plus he is taking two antibiotics and prednisone. His spirits are great though...you would think he was staying in a five star hotel!!! He is eating up the attention from everyone. Jacob has been a complete handful this evening. I feel bad for him too...he has NO clue what is going on, just that it's different.

I so want to be positive, but it is SO hard when you get to hear about all of the things that could go wrong during the night...which would mean he cannot come home tomorrow. I am going to pray with ALL of my might that he has NO need for oxygen tonight. I will update in the morning. John is with him tonight and I will be heading back in the morning.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. It means a lot.

Kelly, I am so sorry to hear about Johnny. Please let us know if we can do anything . . . even if it's something simple, like run to the store or something . . . please let us know, we'll be more than happy to help in any way we can!! Tell Johnny Logan said, "Feel better." And tell him Jimmy and I said to feel better, too. Make sure you get as much rest as possible and let us know if we can help!! We will say special prayers for y'all tonight.

Love,
Brandey
