VBS Exhaustion

Today was the first day of vacation bible school at Jacob's (and Johnny's) preschool. The boys have been very excited and have talked about this week endlessly! I volunteered this year so that I could be around if anything happened with Johnny. I think I am still a little nervous after his extreme low at school this year. He TOTALLY doesn't want me there either. Nice huh?!?!

Anyways, Jacob had a total freak out when I took him to his class. Like the crying hysterically, clinging to my leg type of freak out. I was shocked. He LOVES school. How in the heck can he have a freak out over VBS? He cried for a good hour too. After about ten minutes into the class I took him back to Johnny's class.....since I'm supposed to be a helper and all. He finally calmed down. I was unable to get him back to his class for another hour though and I had to stay with him, but he did eventually calm down and had a nice time. I have a feeling I will be staying in his class all week. That is fine with me though. The four year olds are very amusing.....I get a real kick out of them! I am completely exhausted though. John was home early today and I got a heavenly hour long nap. Jacob even came up and snuggled right in next to me and is still sleeping! I sure hope this turns out to be a daily thing!!

Now I think it's time for a much needed glass of wine...or two! I have a feeling it will be needed everyday this week! Why couldn't today have been as easy as going to the pool? I get NO crying or complaining when it's time to go there ;)
