I feel like I just had the loooongeeest weekend EVER. Friday afternoon my MIL headed out to watch the kids so John and I could attend my cousin's wedding reception at Landsdowne. They were actually married a couple of weeks ago in Punta Cana but were having a wedding reception for all of the family and friends that couldn't make it!!!! I was there mentally!! The reception was in the new Golf Clubhouse. It was Beautiful!!! John and I had a great time!!...he even surprised me when we got there with a room for the night!!! WOW!!! I was SUPER excited!!....even after the fact that the only thing he brought me was a pair of panties. Men!!! How wonderful that my parents live a few short miles down the road so I was able to run over there and pick up a pair of earplugs and an inhaler. There will be NO sleep for me without earplugs!! Sad, but true.
John and I took FULL advantage of the 4 hours of open bar. Man...I seriously cannot remember the last time I drank that much....which is why I feel like the weekend dragged on FOREVER. It took me that long to feel normal again!! I must say though, for the price that Landsdowne charges for a standard room....they REALLY need some updating. Good thing we got a discount because I would have been pretty irritated otherwise. We had a good night though and I slept like a little baby.....thanks to my trusty ear plugs!!

Then on Saturday Afternoon me and a couple of my neighborhood friends took another "neighborhood" friend to the movies. She is about to give birth to her third son, so we thought she might enjoy some good girl time!! We went to see Don't Mess With The Zohan. It was hilarious!!!...but then again, most Adam Sandler movies are!!
Directv had free movie channels this weekend. That brings on PURE excitement in this house!! We LOVE free...especially movies. I went through the guide and scheduled for about 50 movies to record....Hee Hee!!! LOVE that TIVO!!! So far we have watched Disturbia...Liked it and would definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.....and we watched The Wicker Man.....STUPID....do not waste your time!!! I think we are going to watch We Are Marshall tonight!!!
Late last night my SIL had her baby. They named him Jayden Elijah and he was 8lbs 2oz. Mommy and baby are doing good!! Congratulations!!!
I am LOVING this cooler weather. I will definitely be taking the kids to the park this week!!!
Oh and my garden is doing great!!!! Did I ever mention that I planted one this year??? Anyways.....My tomato and red bell pepper plants are doing great. So far 8 corn stalks and 4 green bean stalks have sprouted....they are actually about a foot tall now. I have a bunch of carrots coming up...nothing yet for the cauliflower and lettuce. Only time will tell....but I get excited everyday when I go out to water and check on my stuff!!!
**By the way...How SAD is this??? John and I stopped at Martin's on our way home Saturday morning to get gas. We had enough points to get 0.50 cents off per gallon. It still cost us $83 to fill our gas guzzler up with regular 87 gas. SSSSSIIIICCKKKKK. I wanted to go puke.
***I forgot about Father's Day....sorry guys!!! I think John had the most relaxing day EVER. The boys and I made him a HUGE breakfast of Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Hash Browns, Cantaloupe and Coffee. We took that up around 10:30am. After eating he went back to bed until about 12:30 and then watched Golf for the REST of the day. I think the only thing that would have made it better (in his mind anyways) was if he was actually playing golf!!! I hope all of you Father's had a Wonderful day!! ;)

I am glad to hear you liked Zohan. I haven't been hearing very good reviews. However, you and I seem to have the same "great" taste in movies!
I loved Disturbia and hated Wicker Man.
Glad to hear you had a good weekend!
I was reading this post and smiling to myself...I'm not sure if you updated it over time b/c I haven't checked in for a couple days, but loved how you changed from one thought to the other...made me remember your post about cleaning the house and ADD :) I'm glad ya'll had a n awesome weekend!
Smiles,
Amy
Glad you had a great time at the wedding. I am still laughing over the whole panty story. That really sucks about your car, I couldn't imagine. I freaked when I put $67 in my tank last week.
I really enjoyed our trip to the movies. We definetly have to do it again. Hope you are relaxing now that the weekends over.
Have a great week....
Take Care,
~Jamie
