Here's mine.........Kim Carnes!
When ever I'm having a bad day or just feeling nostalgic I put on a little Kim Carnes. My Mother has this album and it has always been one of my favorites. It reminds me of my Mom and my childhood. When listening to it I can even smell our old house. Weird huh....but it works! I know it's cheesy....especially the video, but I LOVE me some Kim Carnes!!
My children seem to have turned into some sort of little monsters this afternoon. I am SO ready for John to get home. I guess it's just one of those days....that's where the Kim Carnes comes in!!! Calmed me right down....That and the glass of wine I plan on drinking in about thirty minutes:)..................I am still enjoying exercising, but , and I cannot stress this enough....I WILL NOT give up CHEESE, CANDY and the occasional (well..more like every other night) Glass of wine or other assorted alcoholic beverage!! This being the reason I must work out. Why in the world can't I just be one of those people who can pretty much eat anything, not exercise and be stick skinny?? I guess it's just not in my cards!!
OMG...I just found this version of Bette Davis Eyes. Do you think it's really Gwyneth Paltrow singing?? If it is she sounds pretty good. I guess I need to rent that movie.

I have to admit when I first read the name I had no idea who she was. Then I watched the video and as soon as it started I knew the song. That's great that you know what your escape/calming thing is. Hope you had a better evening than the rest of the day went: )

I had to look into it regarding whether it was really Gwyneth singing and it was, she actually released an album with that song on it. Kerri

you should check out pandora, an online radio station. it's awesome, free, and lots of fun. we listen to it every night while we make dinner. this evening i put in kim carnes and it pulled up all sorts of fun 80's music.
