Staying Motivated!

OK....so I have started exercising again. I don't often talk about it because I usually give up with in a week or so, but this time just feels different. It's only been about two weeks but I haven't lost any motivation or interest. This is HUGE for me. If anything I have gotten more into it. I have been getting on the treadmill twice a day. Usually in the morning and at night for at least twenty minutes per time. Plus I have been using free weights and doing leg presses. I feel great!! Haven't seen any results yet, but still feel great. John laughs at me and says I am crazy if I think I can work out for two weeks and look like a different person. Does seem pretty silly huh!!! I actually ran 2 miles today....I mean RAN...I am NOT a runner. I couldn't believe it. I always try and run for part of the time, but that usually means like a minute...LOL!!!
Since I have started this Johnny has become VERY interested in "working out". It is SOOOOO funny. He uses the 5 pound free weights...lifts it one time and then has me feel his HUGE muscles!!! He is very serious about this too. It is too cute.
Jacob has become obsessed with the word fart....except that it sounds something like FOAAAAAAArt. It is absolutely hilarious. Since he has had a stomach virus most of the times you hear any fart like noises coming from him it is usually accompanied by something else. So I have gotten in the habit of asking him if it was just a fart or if it's poo poo. When it is just a fart.....he pretty much yells in a frog croaking type voice FOAAAAArt. I bust out laughing every time. BOYS!!!! Too funny!!

***Question for all of you runners out there.....My feet are KILLING me. SERIOUSLY. They were sore after I ran today, but I didn't think too much about it. Now my feet just darn HURT. Is this normal?? Like I said....I am NOT a runner...and probably never will be with the way my poor little feet are feeling. Did I do something wrong?? Wrong shoes? Did I jump into running too soon, since I have never done it?? I don't want to loose the motivation I was feeling earlier. I have a burn in my legs that feels great...much different than the feeling when I just speed walk on the treadmill, but if my feet are going to feel like this every time I run....then I am afraid it is not for me:( I might be destined to just be a speed walker!!

Way to go, Kelly on the exercising!! That's fantastic!! You just feel so much better days that you exercise, don't you think?

I'm not sure what to say about your feet. I'd definitely buy a new pair of running shoes, if your current shoes are on the older side. There's a great little running store downtown that could help you find a good pair. Also, try www.rnjsports.com for running shoes. Shipping is FREE and you get the order within two days or say. I buy my running shoes from them all the time.

Your feet could be sore just from the start of running, though. I think the feet take such a beating with running, all the pounding and whatnot. Your feet might just need to "toughen" up, like feet do in the summer time when you're a kid running around without shoes...

Keep up the great work! You should think about running in the AB 10K!
