Finally...a new post!!

On June 6th, 2010 we walked in our 1st JDRF Walk For The Cure at the conference center in Lansdowne. My sister in law is friends with someone who works at a printing company and they made some team t-shirts for us. Orange is Johnny's FAVORITE color and he chose the team name John's Orange Crushes! It was one amazing day! It was SO SO touching to have so many people join us for the walk/cause. I tear up just thinking about it. All of these Wonderful people who came out in the extremely HOT HUMID MUGGY weather to support Johnny and our family.....There really are no words to describe it. I knew just looking at my son's face that day how much it meant to him too. It just goes to show you don't have to do anything alone! We will definitely be doing this walk every year and hope to add some others as well!

Our team photo!

This is a team sign that was was made along with the shirts. Everyone signed it too. I know this is something Johnny will have forever!

Jacob had his last day of Preschool on May 27th. His school always does an end of year program. The kids always amaze me at these things. They sang at least ten songs. That's a lot for a bunch of little people to remember and they did fantastic! I haven't made it through one of these programs without crying. Happy tears though!

I think all of those songs tuckered him out though.......this was about five minutes after we got home!!

Johnny turned 7 on June 1st. SEVEN. How in the heck did that happen? I cannot believe he is seven. SEVEN. I can't seem to stop typing it. It kinda doesn't seem real. Little man is a second grader now. CRAZY. I have to say though, I am SO SO glad school is out. I was EXTREMELY tired of doing hours of homework every night. Homework still sucks...even at 32!
Here he is with his brand new ORANGE crocs.....with Harry Potter jibbitz! Yes my child might end up being a total dork. He LOVES Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Star Wars. Plus he loves to read and gets straight A's. I WILL SO TAKE IT! I am beyond proud of him! So you are going to get to hear me talk about him and his accomplishments ALL of the time!!
