We have had such a nice weekend! John was off yesterday...which is awesome.....he works 3 Saturday's a month:( The weather was so beautiful for most of the day. John and Johnny got all of the yard work done while Jacob and I went shopping. How great is it that after you've spent the day doing all of the yard work (well, John...not me) it rains!! So great for the grass!! Later in the day John headed out to go golfing and the boys and I just relaxed and had dinner. The boys have been very good....which is always nice!
Johnny is doing good. He is all about how many/old things are. Last night we had a debate about how many/old wide is. I kept trying to explain that "wide" is a word and does not have an age or number. He thought otherwise though and continued to question me on it for a good thirty minutes. Phew....I swear, sometimes that kid just wears me out. He is so funny though. He likes to teach me things. They got caterpillars in school last week and he just loves explaining to me what will happen to them! He is very serious about it too!! He is very repetitive about such things too. I think I have heard how butterflies are made now 20 times!! It's great that he so wants to learn though. I hope he keeps that enthusiasm throughout his school days!!
Jacob is just his same little cute self. His big thing now is "nope". He answers just about everything with nope. Jacob did you go Poo Poo? NOPE. Jacob are you ready for dinner? NOPE. Jacob would you like to go outside? NOPE. It's so cute to hear him say it in his little voice too. I still can't believe he's about to be two. It just doesn't seem possible.
We have so many Birthday's over the next month.....man that's A LOT of cake that I should not be eating, but won't be able to resist! Gotta have cake:)

Glad you had a great weekend! That's gotta be tough, with John working 3 Saturday's every month! Yuck! Quality time with dad is always good for the kiddos! Especially if you get to sneak out and shop for a little bit, even if you have one child with you!
Hope you have a great week!!

Awh - what a cute post! I can imagine how frustrating it could be to try to explain that "wide" is a word that can't be described by how old?!?! I'm sure he will keep his enthusiasm about school :)
Loved the story about "nope too." I just love their little voices and how certain words sound. Just makes you want to smile - ya know?

Oh how I remember those days. It is so magical watching children telling things they learn; eyes light up and they talk and talk and talk!
Have a fantastic week!!!
